Today marks the day my tumor was removed. Last year, I went into surgery to have a Neurofibroma removed. Everything was easy peasy, and within hours I was in and out of outpatient. No indications anything was wrong. I was told I did great, and the mass would be biopsied as standard procedure. What followed 11 days later, I was completely unprepared for. I received a phone call telling me I had the Big “C.” How could this be? I am not even 30. I mean, yes cancer is something that is a serious threat as you get older, but I never thought at 30, and the healthiest I have been in my whole life, I would have cancer. I felt like my whole world came to a halt. How can this be? I am getting ready to celebrate my son’s 1st birthday! Then we got on the phone and worked on a solution. I am happy to report, 1 year later, the cancer has stayed away but I will be monitored closely for another couple of years.
How this has changed my life. You know sometimes we forget how fragile life is, and we just need to live in the moment. Live life to the fullest, and make it a healthy one. I know that being healthy helped me fight the cancer, and find it easily. When you are healthy, and have no aches or pains, or any other conditions, it is hard for cancer to hide. So today I live life with purpose. I live life for God, my family, and to help others. I am taking my “Mess” and turning it into my message.
So here it is: Love Hard, Live Healthy, & Pray Often!
So I challenge you to do all 3! All 3 are actions you work at daily! Need help getting there? Let’s do it together. So where do you start? To Love hard, you need to pray for forgiveness and strength. You also have hard time loving others if you don’t love yourself. So take care of yourself. When you have faith and a relationship with God and you feel good about you, Love falls right into place.
So last week we took a wonderful vacation to Fort Myers Beach, Florida. Although, it was on the chilly side when we arrived, it warmed up mid-week to the upper 70's, and it was beautiful. The beach cottage we rented was so homey with beautiful ocean views. Each night we got to sit on the deck and watch the sun go down behind the Gulf. The boys thoroughly enjoyed their time at the beach, playing in the sand and water. We took them on a pirate cruise one day, and the rest of the trip we beached it. This was also such a reviving trip for my husband and I since our inlaws visited daily, and allow Matt and I to have alone time. It was so nice to just walk around the little town, take a walk on the beach, or go out to eat together. The trip was refreshing, but I exhausting at the same time. So this week I am focusing on getting into routine, with workouts, meal planning, and sleep. While on vacation our sleep schedules were wacky because of the kids, and the food choices could have been better. I was able to get a couple of runs in during the week, but no dvd player to get my MAX 30 in. This gallery of our family vacation is just a sample from my phone, as I have not uploaded our camera photos.

So are you asking yourself, does this work? Do you actually know people who have had results? The answer is YES!
