As of recent, I have not been as diligent about my eating habits or workouts. Have I completely abandoned what I have done over the past year? No, but it is time to get back on track and planning better. With the change of the season comes a change of priorities. Kids are back in school, and routines are reset. Getting into those routines can take some time. It is easier to do this together, rather than separate. I am always a working progress when it comes to my health journey, and that is ok, I am human. My goal is to live a healthy lifestyle, and help others do the same. I have learned so much and had amazing results, how could I not pass this on and help others. Honestly, what I do has changed lives, not just in terms of health and fitness, but in terms of building new relationships, building a business, and earning supplemental income.
This month, I am working alongside individuals doing the 21 Day Fix program. Sometime, around last November I decided to do the 30 Day Push as recommended by my up line Beachbody Coach Katy. This is a program designed by Chalene Johnson as a spin-off of her book Push. This program helps you with organization and time managment. It helps you to distinguish the important from the not so important things in life. In the beginning one of the first tasks is to outline your priorities and values. Faith and family were my top two priorities.
This is the reason for the change of the direction of my blog. Over the years, I have become increasingly committed to my faith. The past year and a half have definitely presented its challenges and I have seen the blessings of God. God does take care of his people, and I feel compelled more than ever to spread the good news. From the depths of my heart I believe that when you have a strong faith, life runs more smoothly. While yes, I am a Beachbody coach and I believe in health and fitness, I believe you need to include health of your soul. It takes strength to live a healthy lifestyle, and it takes strength to be a committed follower. For both, temptations surround you, but if you start surrounding yourself with those who have the same beliefs you will see a positive difference in your life.
Furthermore, I have been looking to get more involved with our church and to become more dedicated to my faith. Becoming more committed to my faith, could only enhance the relationships with my family, and teach me how to better pass on that faith to my children. So since November, I have not pushed forward as I would have liked. I did attempt to join a Women's bible study, but medical problems and terrible weather hindered me from attending. However, today marks a new day. Matt and I have committed ourselves to a discipleship class with our church. While we do not know how long this class lasts, 26 weeks or a year, I am excited for the opportunity to learn and grow with other members of our chuch. When invited to join this class by our Pastor we were nervous and hesitant. We thought to ourselves are we really ready for something like this? However, we realized that we do not have to be the perfect follower, as we are all imperfect. We talked it over, and decided that this would be an awesome opportunity for us to grow together in our relationship with God.
Today I leave you with this: No matter where you are in life, you have the power to improve or change the direction of your life. You can lead the life you want to lead, and it is never too late. Anything worth doing, does take time and effort. The best things in life are not always easy. Whether it is personal relationships, being a parent, finances, or faith. I mean look at Jesus, the son of God came to this Earth to save us all from our sins. It was the best thing this world has ever experienced, but it was not easy! I am always looking to try new recipes, especially with Venison. This is the first year I have ever cooked with Venison, and I am very careful in how I prepare it. My first experience with Venison other than jerky was not exactly fabulous. I did not grow up eating it, so I could definitely taste the difference between deer and cow beef. Anyways, our goal as a family is to do away with cow beef as much as possible and switch completely to deer, or other types of beef such as bison. If you are new to my blog or clean eating, deer and bison are much better choices when it comes to red meat because they are lower in fat. Anyways, so here is my recipes from last night's meal that was a hit!
Grilled Venison Kabob w/ Marinade
1 lb Venison Roast - Cubed
3/4 c of Balsamic Vinegar
1/2 c EVOO
3 T of Honey
1/4 Cup minced Onion
Deviated from AllRecipes: Sweet Balsamic Marinade
I served with a medley of grilled veggies marinated in the same marinade in another container. I just used what I had and can be veggies you like. My medley included zucchini, grape and cherry tomatoes from my garden, peppers, and onions. Marinate for an hour at minimum, especially for the meat.

Sweet Basil Peach & Corn Salsa
3/4 Red Onion
2 Peaches Diced
1 Nectarine Diced
2 Medium Tomatoes Diced (from my garden)
Handful Fresh Basil minced
1/4 Cup Balsamic Vinegar
2 T of Raspberry Balsamic Vinegar
1/2 bag of frozen corn (Defrosted)
1/4 c of Lemon Juice
Mix all the ingredients together and refridgerate for at least 2 hours, the longer the better. This is so good and addicting. I ate this salsa with my Food Should Taste Good Tortilla Chips. I also plan to use this on my fish tacos this evening! Yum!
