As mentioned the past couple of weeks have been really rough on myself and my family, with me being diagnosed with Sarcoma. I am now home recovering from my surgery on Monday morning. All went very well and I did not need a skin graft. However, I do have a large 6-7in incision along my bicep. I am hoping that over time Mederma can help with that :)!
I am glad to be home with my boys. My family has been wonderful in helping to take care of the boys while I take care of myself. As far as working out goes, it may be up to a month until I get back into my workouts, and lifting my children. I restricted to 5 pounds with my left arm. Although I will not be able to workout, I am going to be working on getting my eating back on track by following the 21 Day Fix meal plan.
As for my health future, I will know more about my pathology report in 10-14 days. This report will determine if more surgery needs to occur, or if there will be radiation. Most likely they will not be doing chemotherapy. From here I will have a series of follow ups and CT scans every 3 months to be sure this cancer is not traveling. Sarcoma is rather predictable, and should it reappear, it would happen at the original site, or in my lungs. I feel really good about everything and have faith that all is going to work out.
I am determined to get back to normal, or as normal as possible for the time being. I am ready to devote my time to prepping for spring! I am looking forward to warmer weather, baby showers, Steal City Basketball, walks with the boys, and gardening. Stay posted for future blogs on my progress, future Beachbody specials, and gardening tips.
